This year’s Shop & Win winner just couldn’t believe it.
When Sue Morris from Queen St Pharmacy rang her last Monday night with the good news, Susie Heart was in denial.
“I have never won anything,” she says, “let alone ever had $5000 in the bank in my whole life.”
Susie has been a loyal customer of Queen St Pharmacy for a number of years and has had a bit of a battle over the last few.
Sue Morris was absolutely thrilled for Susie and along with a big hug, there were a few tears shed.
And what will Susie spend her winnings on?
“Well, I have to tell my daughter first, she will be thrilled, then I’ll have a think about it.
But I’d like to treat myself, maybe get some dental work done,” says Susie.
“It’s wonderful and thank you very much to Sue and her team at QSP and thanks so much to the Waimea Weekly. It’s made my Christmas!”
Shop&Win has now been running in the Waimea Weekly for 15 years with over $75,000 being given away to happy locals.
It is the most popular competition to be held locally with anything from 45,000 to 75,000 entries each year.
