A group of 17 BNI (Business Network International), ‘Business Booster’ members are preparing to assist the Richmond Hospice shop staff on Saturday, December 8.

“We’re really looking forward to working alongside the volunteers and helping to attract more people into the shop and just create more general awareness of what the shop has to offer,” says Jo Hender, group leader.

The team will be instore from 9.30am until 1.30pm with the BBQ cranked up serving sausage sizzles. There’ll be games for the kids, and an impressive silent auction.

“The auction goods are looking really fantastic, there’s a real variety and such great things to bid on,” says Jo. “The Hospice is so awesome, so it’s nice to be able to help them out a little.”

Auction items include a pamper pack gift basket valued at $250, corporate seat basketball tickets, Richmond Mall vouchers, digital marketing and tree work.

“It’s absolutely amazing that local businesses are helping the Hospice. We get a lot of support from local businesses in the form of donations but to actually get the physical labour in here is fantastic,” says store manager Anete Smith.
