Gather up your friends and family for a relaxing afternoon of live music by talented young solo singers and bands at Washbourn Gardens Music Festival, Richmond, Saturday, 12 December at 5 pm.
Bring a picnic blanket and your chilly bin and grab a spot to enjoy the live performances, as well as street art activity and craft stalls which are on offer. There will also be food trucks supplying everything from ice cream to churros.
Yulia Panfylova, event co-ordinator at Tasman District Council, says, “The Music Festival’s main goal is to provide a safe setting for young people where they can perform to the public in a non-competitive and relaxing environment.
“Supporting local talent is really important and what better way to do it than with a summer’s afternoon of live music?”
Performers include The Few, Wiz Kid and the Biscuits, Mia Grace, KahliMae Salmon, Alex Hinchliffe, Katelyn Clist and Lauren Loghry.
The event is free and has been put together with the assistance of Waimea Youth Council who ask that you take all your rubbish home with you to keep the park clean.
The event is the postponed Spring Music Festival which was rained off last month.
