A special ‘One Night Only’ concert has been put together to raise funds for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand at the Richmond Town Hall on Saturday, October 6. A collaboration by Mary-Ann McNatty, who manages Richmond Town Hall under contract to Tasman District Council, Norman Phillips from the Nelson Male Voice Choir, crooner Phil Rimmer and other volunteers, Mary-Ann promises an entertaining evening with all proceeds from ticket sales and donation buckets going to the foundation. There will be four main performing acts – Nelson’s only men’s barbershop group, ‘Men in Accord’, who will be performing a selection of well-known songs, ‘Octavia’ a female A Capella group, ‘The Crooner’ Phil Rimmer, and the Nelson Male Voice Choir. Smaller groups will also be performing on the night. Tickets are available through the Richmond Town Hall, Richmond Mall or Sports House reception. Online bookings are available, call 5443955.
