Information about the mayoral and council candidates will be found in the Waimea Weekly over the coming weeks.

The Waimea Weekly also asked some of our readers: “What is a significant issue the new TDC mayor should focus on?”

We had four main subjects asked by our readers and all four mayoral candidates made a 100-word comment about each of them.

Last week (11.09) the question was:

The infrastructure, with the population continuing to increase the streets in the CBD are already congested. What are you going to do about that?

This week (18.09) the candidates were told:

Get a move on with the dam, every delay means the cost will just keep increasing, get on with it!

Check out the reactions in the Waimea Weekly.

Spread the love.
