Neighbours from local communities will have a chance to get together over an afternoon of games, food, and family fun this Sunday.

To celebrate International Neighbours Day, Community Support Waimea is organising a family fun day to take place on March 24, between 1pm and 4pm.

The event, to be held at Easby Park in Richmond, “will be a great opportunity for locals to get together and catch up, or get to know new people in their local community,” organiser Marty Price says.

Various organisations will be there to show their support towards local communities, including Richmond Police, Civil Defence, Community Patrol Richmond, Neighbourhood Support Waimea, and the Tasman District Council.

The event is a part of International Neighbours Day, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The event is free, and there will be a blow-up obstacle course provided by NBS for the kids, and a barbecue provided by local scouts.

Families are welcome to bring a picnic.

Spread the love.
